Penn State Schuylkill built an early lead and used a clutch eighth-inning rally to secure an 8–6 victory in the opener.
The Lions struck first in the opening frame when Roman Cieless drove in Andrew Klotz with an RBI single before Joey Ruggiero followed with another run-scoring hit to give Schuylkill a 2–0 lead. Shenango answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning, but the Lions quickly regained momentum.
Hayden Lee launched a solo home run in the second inning to push Schuylkill back in front, and the Lions added two more runs in the third when Owen Shoop delivered a two-RBI single that scored Yostin Guerrero Solano and Ruggiero.
Shenango chipped away at the lead and eventually tied the game at 6–6 in the seventh inning.
Schuylkill responded in the top of the eighth. Lee doubled to put runners in scoring position before Andrew Klotz was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to bring home the go-ahead run. Conner Licklider followed with an RBI groundout to add an insurance run.
Aidan Barner closed out the game on the mound, earning the win and improving to 3–0 on the season.

Shenango jumped out to an early lead in the second game, using a six-run first inning to take control and earn the split.
A grand slam from John Perry highlighted the big opening frame as Shenango built a quick 6–0 advantage.
Schuylkill responded in the third inning when Roman Cieless drove in Charles Hopper with a groundout before Joey Ruggiero reached on an error that allowed Conner Licklider to score.
The Lions added another run in the fifth when Cieless came around to score on a Shenango error, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome as Shenango secured the 10–3 win.
