Top-seeded Penn State Schuylkill continued its postseason dominance on Saturday afternoon, overpowering Penn State Beaver in an 11–0 shutout to advance to the PSUAC Championship Game.
The Lions will now face Penn State Mont Alto in the final after Mont Alto defeated Penn State New Kensington 7–1 in the other semifinal. The matchup will mark the third meeting of the season between Schuylkill and Mont Alto, with both prior contests tightly contested battles between two of the conference's most talented teams.
The Schuylkill offense exploded early and never looked back, scoring six times in the first half and adding five more in the second. Makenzie Wechsler led the charge with four goals, including a natural hat trick in the opening 25 minutes, while Madison Warnack notched two assists and Abigail Klokis added another helper.
Grace Fenstermacher, Nancy Le, Alyssa DeBronzo, Jesenia Landaverde, Olivia Dress, Adyson Youse, and Nina Wilk each found the back of the net in a complete team effort that saw 11 different players record points.
The defense was flawless once again, holding Beaver to just one total shot and zero shots on goal. Goalkeepers Kay Lee Morgan and Victoria Grimm combined for the shutout, maintaining Schuylkill's perfect defensive mark through the postseason.
