Men's Soccer Falls To Lackawanna on Senior Day

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – Pau Pumarola (Barcelona, Spain / IMG Academy) was honored during Senior Day as Penn State Schuylkill fell to NJCAA opponent Lackawanna College on Friday, 7-1.

After a Schuylkill foul, Lackawanna was awarded a penalty kick and found the back of the net at the 2:30 mark. The two teams engaged in a back-and-forth, but Lackawanna secured their second goal at the 26:31 mark.

Schuylkill showcased persistence, and it paid off when Osareimen Unuigbe (Williamstown, NJ / Williamstown) scored their first goal at the 28:50 mark, assisted by Daniel Palacios (Baltimore, MD / Meade) However, Lackawanna wasn't done, netting their third goal with 5:06 left in the period.

The second half saw Lackawanna scoring 4 out of their total 7 goals. Lackawanna won the shot contest 26 to 11.

Schuylkill (2-7 overall) will take on NCAA Division III opponent Neumann University on Saturday. Start time for that contest is 1:00 p.m.
