Penn State Schuylkill opened the day with an impressive offensive showing in a 28-18 victory over Chestnut Hill College. Abree Brown led the way through the air, finishing 21-of-28 for 268 yards and four touchdown passes. Kay Lee Morgan hauled in five receptions for 67 yards and two touchdowns, while Kenzie Staller added four catches for 58 yards and a score. Miranda Morstatt also found the end zone and totaled 52 receiving yards, and Mikayla Johnson chipped in 73 yards on five catches to help power the offense.
The Nittany Lions struck first when Brown connected with Bry Hicks for a 22-yard touchdown pass late in the opening quarter. Schuylkill kept its foot on the gas in the second quarter as Brown found Caroline Croteau for a 38-yard score before linking up with Morstatt for another touchdown to build a 21-0 halftime advantage.
Chestnut Hill rallied with three second-half touchdowns to cut the deficit to 21-18, but Schuylkill answered when Brown tossed her fourth touchdown of the day midway through the fourth quarter, capping a four-play, 66-yard drive to seal the win.
Defensively, Sierra Wishnefsky led Schuylkill with six tackles and a sack. Morstatt and Makayla Hill each came away with interceptions, with Hill returning hers 11 yards and Morstatt adding a nine-yard return. The defense also broke up four passes and recorded three tackles for loss in the victory.
In game two, Schuylkill battled throughout but fell to Holy Family, 26-0. The Nittany Lions were limited to 152 yards of total offense, with Brown throwing for 120 yards. Sierra Wishnefsky led the receiving corps with five catches for 47 yards, while Morstatt added five receptions for 38 yards. Kay Lee Morgan paced the ground game with 21 rushing yards on two carries.
Holy Family controlled the tempo behind a dominant rushing attack that piled up 296 yards on the ground. Aalyce Davis led the way with 208 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while also connecting on a 49-yard touchdown pass. Holy Family's defense added five sacks and kept Schuylkill off the scoreboard.
Makayla Hill turned in another strong defensive effort for Schuylkill with six total tackles, while Mikayla Johnson added five tackles. Amanda Burns and Avagale Jones each contributed 2.5 tackles, and the defense continued to compete hard despite the outcome.
