After four scoreless innings, Schuylkill broke through in the fifth inning. Dan Zimmerman worked a leadoff walk and Brandon Pupek swiped second to put a runner in scoring position.
Shawn Pallay delivered a hard single to center field, scoring Pupek for the first run of the game. After Tyler Shuey singled, Andrew Klotz lined a single to center, bringing home Pallay and Shuey to give Schuylkill a 3–0 advantage.
The pitching took care of the rest. Michael Kohler tossed a complete-game shutout, scattering four hits and striking out four across seven innings to earn the win.

Schuylkill jumped on the scoreboard immediately in the first inning. Walks by Andrew Klotz and Conner Licklider followed by a Roman Cieless single loaded the bases. Joey Ruggiero's fielder's choice brought in the first run before Dan Zimmerman launched a three-run home run to left field, giving Schuylkill a 4–0 lead.
The offense added more in the fourth inning when Klotz singled home Pupek, and Cieless followed with another RBI single to stretch the lead to 6–0. Cieless added another RBI in the sixth with a bunt single that plated Pupek.
On the mound, Dylan Siwik was nearly untouchable, throwing a one-hit complete-game shutout while allowing just one walk and facing only 23 batters.
