Cross Country Opens 2025 Season at Union Canal
The Lions kicked off their cross country campaign at Lebanon Valley College’s Union Canal meet, gaining valuable early-season experience.
Penn State Schuylkill cross country opened its 2025 season at the Union Canal Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley College.
On the women's side, Lilley Anderson led the Lions with a strong 5K time of 23:24, followed by Hanna Bulles in 35:31.
The men's team fielded five runners in the 8K, with four finishing the course. Ashton Owens paced the group in 33:40, followed by Francisco Ortiz in 37:16, Ron Kanyangarara in 40:00, and Shane Smith in 42:20. Matt O was listed as DNS (did not score).
The Lions return to action on Saturday, September 13, at the 19th Annual Cougar Classic hosted by Misericordia University.
