Penn State Schuylkill volleyball continued its strong conference play with a convincing straight-set win over Penn State Lehigh Valley (25–18, 25–14, 25–15) on Saturday afternoon in Allentown. The Lions' complete team performance showcased steady offensive rhythm, sharp serving, and disciplined defense to earn the 3–0 sweep.
First Set – Steady Start
Schuylkill opened the match with controlled energy, hitting .208 as a team behind clean ball control and smart attacking decisions. The Lions minimized errors, converting six kills on 24 swings while holding Lehigh Valley to a .000 hitting percentage. Consistent pressure from the service line forced Lehigh Valley out of system, allowing Schuylkill to establish an early lead and take the first set, 25–18.
Second Set – Momentum Builds
The second frame saw Schuylkill elevate its tempo. Behind eight team kills and aggressive serving, the Lions surged ahead midway through the set and never looked back. The balanced offensive effort, coupled with solid passing, limited Lehigh Valley's attack to just five kills on 14 attempts. The Lions capitalized on transition points to secure a commanding 25–14 win.
Third Set – Closing It Out
Schuylkill maintained its poise in the third, once again recording eight kills with a .167 hitting percentage. The Lions' defense frustrated Lehigh Valley's hitters, who managed only a .250 efficiency in the set, their best but still not enough to challenge Schuylkill's consistency. The Lions' control at the net and strong serve-receive game sealed the match with a 25–15 victory.

Lehigh Valley's top contributor was Alexis Barhoum, who led all players with eight kills (.280). Schuylkill's offense, though balanced, was defined by its efficiency and low error rate—nine total errors across three sets—and the team's ability to maintain momentum through consistent serving and communication.
The win improves Schuylkill's PSUAC record and adds to their growing momentum heading into the first round of PSUAC playoffs where they will host PSU Lehigh Valley in the opening round on Monday 10/20 at 6pm.
