Penn State Schuylkill volleyball dropped a hard-fought conference match Monday night, falling 25–19, 25–13, 22–25, 25–20 to a powerful Penn State Mont Alto team that racked up 44 kills. The loss moves the Lions to 5–5 overall and 1–2 in PSUAC play, but the effort highlighted the team's defensive abilities and serving pressure.
Ryliegh Sinko steered the offense with 17 assists, added 4 kills on a .273 clip, and chipped in 2 service aces while collecting 17 digs. Amanda Burns led the attack with 10 kills, and Lyla Kershner anchored the back row with a team-high 19 digs and 1 ace. The Lions combined for 9 aces overall and kept long rallies alive with 64 digs.
Penn State Schuylkill will look to bounce back quickly when they travel to face PSU Hazleton on Thursday in another tough PSUAC matchup.
