Volleyball Rolls Past Scranton in Straight Sets
Penn State Schuylkill hit an impressive .468 as Amanda Burns and Lainey Dusel combined for 21 kills in a 3–0 home victory.
Penn State Schuylkill volleyball delivered a statement win in front of the home crowd on Saturday, sweeping Penn State Scranton (25–6, 25–10, 25–12) to earn a key PSUAC victory. The Lions dominated offensively with a .468 team hitting percentage and a balanced attack that kept Scranton on its heels all afternoon.
Amanda Burns was nearly unstoppable, registering 12 kills on a .632 clip, while Lainey Dusel added nine kills at .500. Setter Ryliegh Sinko steered the offense with 26 assists and chipped in five service aces, while Kenzie Staller and Olivia Veloz provided efficient finishing at the net.
The win lifts Schuylkill to 5–4 overall and 1–1 in the PSUAC as they look to keep the momentum going. The Lions return to action on Monday when they host Penn State Mont Alto in another conference matchup.
