Penn State Schuylkill Volleyball Sweeps Cheyney in Home Opener
Penn State Schuylkill volleyball earned a 3–0 sweep over Cheyney, led by Lainey Dusel’s 9 kills and 11 points.

Penn State Schuylkill women's volleyball defended its home court in style, sweeping Cheyney University 3–0 (25–19, 25–21, 25–9) in non-conference action.
The Lions steadily built momentum across the first two sets before dominating the third behind a balanced attack and sharp serving.

Lainey Dusel led the way with 9 kills on .296 hitting, adding 2 service aces and 11 total points.

Kenzie Staller chipped in 5 kills and 2 aces, while Ryliegh Sinko ran the offense efficiently with 12 assists, 3 kills (.600), and 1 ace.

Amanda Burns contributed 5 points with 3 kills and 2 aces, and libero Lyla Kershner anchored the back row with a team-high 14 digs while serving up 2 aces.
As a team, Schuylkill posted a .156 hitting percentage and delivered 9 service aces while holding Cheyney to a -.052 hitting percentage.
With the win, the Lions improve to 2–3 overall and will return to action on Monday, September 8, traveling to Division III Keystone for another non-conference matchup.
