Penn State Schuylkill women's soccer closed out Saturday's campus tripleheader with a hard-fought non-conference match, falling 4–0 to Notre Dame (MD). The Lions (2–2) showed defensive determination throughout, turning aside numerous chances while continuing to grow as a unit early in the season.
Kay Lee Morgan and Victoria Grimm combined for five saves, with Grimm stopping four shots in 64 minutes of action. Offensively, Madison Warnack and Leah Alexander each placed shots on goal as Schuylkill generated five total attempts and earned four corner kicks against a strong Gators side.
The Lions now shift their focus to PSUAC play, hosting Penn State Scranton on Wednesday, September 18, as they look to carry their competitive effort into the conference schedule.
