During her time as a student-athlete, Gerber left an indelible mark on the campus record books. She was the first women's basketball player to surpass both 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds, ultimately finishing with 1,342 points. Her prowess on the court earned her the PSUAC Player of the Year accolade in her final season.

Beyond basketball, Gerber was a multi-faceted talent who achieved success in two other sports. She was a PSUAC All-Decade Team selection for women's soccer and also racked up over 100 career hits in softball, showcasing her versatility and commitment across all three sports.

Gerber's remarkable career was also recognized on a national level, with her jersey being honored in the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame's "Ring of Honor" in Knoxville, Tennessee.
