Penn State Schuylkill traveled to Centenary on Tuesday night for a nonconference matchup, falling 96–31 but continuing to work throughout the full 40 minutes against a fast and balanced Cyclones squad.
Tayla Jones led the Lions with 6 rebounds and added 4 points, while Serena Jones scored 9 points and grabbed 4 boards. Mikayla Johnson chipped in 6 points, and Ava Novak pulled down 7 rebounds to pace the backcourt. Katelyn Otto contributed 4 points, 7 rebounds, and a team-high 2 assists, providing steady minutes in the paint.
Centenary was propelled by a strong offensive performance from Vatijah Davis, who totaled 18 points and 7 rebounds. Despite the deficit, Schuylkill continued to create second-chance opportunities, force turnovers, and stay active defensively throughout the contest.
The Lions now turn their attention to PSUAC play as they return home Friday at 6:00 PM to host Penn State Shenango. The matchup will be the final contest of the fall semester before student-athletes wrap up finals and head into Christmas break, with competition resuming in mid-January.
