PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Women's Basketball fell in their season opener to NAIA opponent Point Park University.
Point Park entered the second period with a 20-10 advantage following a 10-0 run to end the first. Two free throws by Kassidy Ingram (Abington, PA / Trinity High School) brought the Schuylkill deficit to single digits with 7:10 to go in the second period. Point Park went on to finish the second period on a 25-6 run. Point Park rode their momentum into the second half, defeating Schuylkill 110-43.
Allison Crockett (Liverpool, PA / Greenwood High School) led Schuylkill in scoring with 11 points. Jasmine Wright (Sicklerville, NJ / Winslow Township High School) tallied 6 points and 9 rebounds in the loss.
Schuylkill (0-1 overall, 0-0 PSUAC) will play their second game at Point Park University against NAIA opponent Michigan-Dearborn on Sunday, November 5th.
