Game 1 – Albion 9, Penn State Schuylkill 0
Penn State Schuylkill opened the day with a tough matchup against Albion, falling 9-0 in six innings despite collecting four hits.
Jade Weiss led the Lions offensively, going 2-for-3 and swiping a base, while Keira Devor and Nina Wilk each added a hit. Schuylkill threatened early after Weiss singled in the first inning but was unable to capitalize as Albion pitcher Lilly Zaskowski struck out 11 batters in the complete-game shutout.
The Britons broke the scoreless tie in the second inning with a sacrifice fly and then pulled away in the fifth inning with a five-run frame. Albion added three more runs in the sixth to secure the run-rule victory.
Chloe Heckman started in the circle for Schuylkill, allowing six runs (two earned) over 4.2 innings while Mackenzie Carl finished the inning in relief.
Game 2 – Penn State Schuylkill 6, Valley Forge 0
The Lions responded in a big way in the nightcap, combining timely hitting with dominant pitching to earn a 6-0 shutout victory over the University of Valley Forge.
Schuylkill wasted no time getting on the board. Jade Weiss opened the bottom of the first with a triple and scored moments later on an RBI single by Aryanna Bodge. Mackenzie Carl followed with another RBI single before Chloe Heckman drove in a run on a fielder's choice to give the Lions a 3-0 lead after one inning.
The Lions added three more runs in the fifth inning. Weiss crossed the plate on a Valley Forge error before Keira Devor lined an RBI single to center. Nina Wilk capped the rally with a triple to left field that plated Nicole Domermuth.
In the circle, Aryanna Bodge was dominant, tossing a complete-game shutout while allowing just three hits and striking out 12 batters across seven innings.
Offensively, Weiss led the Lions going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a triple, while Bodge also finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Devor added two hits and an RBI, and Wilk delivered a key RBI triple.
