Schuylkill committed 3 errors in the top of the 3rd allowing Hazleton to take a 4-0 lead. In the bottom of the inning, Schuylkill's bat came alive scoring 11 runs on 8 hits. Including a 2-run triple by Tia Lyons and 2 singles by Danielle Grasso, the second also drove in two runs. Schuylkill pitcher Bryanna Snowell would hold on for the win, striking out eight for the game.
Game 2
Game two turned out to be a pitchers duel between Snowell and Hazleton's Martina Herring. The game was scoreless through 4 with neither team able to capitalize early. In the 5th, Hazleton opened the scoring taking a 3-0 lead. Schuylkill closed to within two runs at 3-1, in the 6th, on doubles by Kirsten Wentzel and Kelsey Brendle. Hazleton would add a run in the top 7th and hold on for the 4-1 victory.
