Four Men's Cross Country Runners Set Personal Records

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Mathew O (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Nativity BVM) Ashton Owens (Pine Grove, PA / Pine Grove), Aramis Rosario Gonzalez (Glenelg Country / Columbia, MD), and Steven Cope (Frackville, PA / North Schuylkill) all set personal records at the Aubrey Shenk Invite at Gettysburg College.

In a competitive field of 267 runners, O completed the 8k course with an average mile of 5:54.3, total time of 29.21.3. Rounding out the top 200 runners for the event was Owens who completed the course at the 29:48.9 mark with an average mile of 5:59.9.

Rosario Gonzalez set his personal record at 32:37.6 with an average mile of 6:33.8, while Cope set his record at 40.51.6 with an average mile of 8:13.1. Also contributing for Schuylkill was Samuel Davenport (Lebanon, PA / Lebanon) who completed the 8k with a total time of 35:28.3.

Men's Cross Country will compete in the Last Chance Run Fast Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley College on Friday, October 20^th.
