NORTH EAST, Md. - Penn State Schuylkill traveled to North East, MD on Tuesday to take on NJCAA opponent Cecil College. Cecil went on to defeat Schuylkill 6-1.
Cecil College attempted nine shots before finding the back of the net at the 31:46 mark. Cecil continued to apply pressure, scoring again almost three minutes later.
Pau Pumarola (Barcelona, Spain / IMG Academy) quickly responded with a goal of his own at the 36:30 mark, putting a halt to Cecil's run and bringing Schuylkill within a point. Cecil remained relentless and stretched their lead to 3-1 with a goal scored just seconds before the end of the first period.
Cecil matched their first period goal total of three during the second period. Two late goals at 78:16 and 80:21 sealed the deal for Cecil.
Schuylkill (1-3 overall) will complete the second half of their back-to-back on Wednesday, as they host NAIA opponent Washington Adventist.
