Bio
Ryan Atkinson is set to enter his 3rd season at Penn State Schuylkill in 2025-26.
Working primarily with Pitchers, Atkinson has coached three players to All-Conference honors, two All-American selections, and guided Owen Shoop to the school’s record holder in career wins (17). Atkinson also serves as the team’s strength and conditioning coach. He guides the team through the weightroom and nutritional vision.
The former Hood College standout, he appeared in 51 games and recorded 138.1 innings on the mound. Used as a reliever and starter during his time, he owned a career record of 7-12 and 2 saves. His senior season he went 3-2 through 15 appearances, 43.1 innings, 37 strikeouts, and an ERA of 2.49.
Atkinson resides in Hamburg with his wife Kristen, and his cat Tuna.
