Maddy Robinson and Ryliegh Sinko Receive PSUAC All-Conference Honors
Maddy Robinson and Ryliegh Sinko were named to the PSUAC Women’s Volleyball All-Conference Team for their outstanding performances during the 2024 season. Robinson earned East Division First-Team honors, while Sinko was recognized as the East Rookie of the Year.
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – Maddy Robinson and Ryliegh Sinko were named to the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball All-Conference Team for their outstanding performances during the 2024 season. Robinson earned East Division First-Team honors, while Sinko was recognized as the East Rookie of the Year.
Maddy Robinson (Auburn, PA / Blue Mountain) had a stellar senior season, earning PSUAC East Division First-Team All-Conference honors after recording 143 kills, 42 blocks, 140 digs, 38 assists, and 19 aces for the year. Her 143 kills ranked thirteenth in the conference, with a kills-per-set average of 2.47, placing her seventh. Additionally, Robinson's hitting percentage of .243 was the fourth highest in the PSUAC. She finished fourth overall in solo blocks, totaling 36 this season, and ranked fifth in points per set with 3.5. Robinson set a Penn State Schuylkill program record with 466 career kills, becoming only the second player in school history to surpass the 400-kill milestone. She also holds the school's all-time blocks record with 168.
Ryliegh Sinko (Minersville, PA / Nativity BVM) made an impressive debut for Schuylkill, earning the PSUAC East Rookie of the Year title. Sinko led the team in assists and digs, with 239 and 159 respectively. Her total assists placed her tenth in the PSUAC, while her assists-per-set average of 4.90 ranked sixth. Sinko also held the eleventh highest digs-per-set rate in the PSUAC with 3.06.
The PSUAC also honored Sierra Wishnefsky (Ringtown, PA / North Schuylkill) with the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award, presented to one player from each team who exemplifies the league's core values and demonstrates exceptional sportsmanship toward teammates and opponents throughout the season.
