Schuylkill jumped on the visitors from the tip, building an early 11 point lead midway through the half. Schuylkill's first half surge was keyed by the strong play of Patrick Killian with 9 points and 4 assists. Hazleton made a late push before the half to cut Schuylkill's advantage to 3 at 32-29.
The game continued to be tight throughout the start of the second half, before Diego Jimenez's 3 pointer gave Hazleton their first lead since the score was 4-2. The teams would continue to trade the lead until the five minute mark when a three, by senior Paul Carey gave Schuylkill the 54-52 lead they would never relinquish. From that point Schuylkill cemented the game away going 13-13 from the free throw line.
